Innovation

Since 2016, Stageport have designed and managed several digital innovation projects.

During this time we have worked with Glasgow School of Art, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, The Citizens Theatre, Edinburgh International Festival, Scottish Futures Trust, Edinburgh University and Tramway.
2018: The Citizens Theatre

2018 The Citizens Theatre Glasgow

Prior to a major refurbishment, Stageport captured and modelled The Citizens Theatre historic paint frame in 3D.

We also digitised the famous statues that used to adorn the Citizens original facade. The assets were used for social media, fundraising and educational activity by The Citizens.

2019 Royal Conservatoire of Scotland

Stageport managed a digital innovation project on behalf of the Knowledge Exchange department at RCS.

The objective was to digitally archive the production of a new main scale Opera, Dialogue Des Carmelites, designed by Justin Nardella.

The aim was to assist RCS to publish an interactive display and build foundations for future digital innovation within The Royal Conservatoire.

2020 Scottish Futures Trust & Tramway

Focusing on Building Information Modelling: Stageport approached Scottish Futures Trust in late 2019: with a proposal to collaborate and develop a set of digital assets geared towards the requirements of Glasgow’s internationally renowned multi arts space Tramway.

Working closely with SFT and Tramway: Stageport provided consultancy and project management support to ensure successful delivery of the projects aims and objectives.

Deliverables included a virtual tour designed to improve the accessibility of Tramway. The tour had areas visible to the general public & audiences, and separate areas geared towards the needs of visiting producers.

The tour is visible today at:
